Winnie Sue Nelson

Winnie Sue Nelson, age 75 of Ozark, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014. She was born May 26, 1938 in Dogwood, Missouri, the daughter of Paris and Fern (Bowers) Harville. On July 30, 1958 Winnie was united in marriage to Bill Nelson. Winnie was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening and working out at the YMCA. Winnie was an active member of First Baptist Church of Ozark where she taught Sunday School and VBS for many years. Survivors include: her husband, Bill Nelson, Ozark; her three children, Mike Nelson and wife Karla, Lebanon, Craig Nelson and wife Pam, Ozark and Cherise White and husband Tim, Ozark; six grandchildren, Brooke Nelson, Austin White, Amy Nelson, Katy Nelson, Thomas Nelson and Adam White and a great grandson, Jayse Bumgarner. Winnie was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, immediately before the funeral service at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Jim Jeffries officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery, Douglas County.
