Wilma Joan Tines

March 5, 1940 — June 6, 2012

Wilma Joan Tines, age 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, June 6, 2012. She was born to William Hogan and Dorothy (Tyler) Hogan, March 5, 1940, in Midland, Michigan. She was united in marriage to Karl Tines November 11, 1961. Wilma was a wonderful mother and homemaker. Her family describes her as very loving, and compassionate. She was a great influence to people with her infectious smile, sensitivity to others, and her ministering spirit. No one was a stranger to Wilma. To her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren she was "Nana"�. The word "�Nana"� meant so many things to her family. Most of all, it meant love and comfort. Wilma always wanted to make a difference in people"�s lives. She worked as a home health aide after her kids were grown. She donated her organs so that other people could benefit, even after her passing. Wilma is survived by her children: Robin Wimmel and husband Robert, of Springfield, William Tines and wife Rhonda, of Gastonia, NC, Karla Babin, and husband Kevin, of Nixa, David Tines and wife Maureen, of Clover SC, a sister, Betty Vickerson, of Cooperstown, NY, and a niece, Tammy Vickerson, of Tampa, FL, 15 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 7:00 P.M., at New Life Church, at 766 W. Farm Road 186 Springfield, MO 65810. Memorial Donations may be made to The American Heart Association. Cremation is under the Direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
