Wilma Aileene Reese, 96, born on April 7, 1916, to Alvia A. Reese and Jennie Folscroft Reese, died on November 18, 2012, at Christian Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Nixa, Missouri. Aileene worked for many years at Standard Oil in Kansas City, Missouri. Romayne "Tommie" Thompson, 94, born on September 27, 1919, to Clarence A. Thompson and Mary Marie Oswald Thompson, died on April 1, 2014, at Christian Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Nixa, Missouri. Tommie worked for Skelly Oil and then for the American Academy of Family Physicians, in Kansas City, Missouri. Aileene and Tommie met while attending Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas, where they played on the softball team together, and became life-long friends. They both enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially softball, bowling and tennis. They loved visiting with their nieces and nephews and playing games of all kinds. Following their retirement in 1977, they moved to Forsyth, Missouri, where they enjoyed 35 years before moving to Nixa, Missouri, in 2012. Aileene was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Clifford Reese. Tommie was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Helen, and brothers Wilbur, Harold and Nolan Thompson. Aileene is survived by two nieces and one nephew, five great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece and five great-great nephews. Tommie is survived by 14 nieces and nephews, 34 great nieces and nephews, and 27 great-great nieces and nephews. A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in their names to the Senior Friendship Site, P.O. Box 248, Forsyth, MO 65653.
