Wilma "Jane"� Gooch of Nixa, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday evening, January 9, 2012. She was born August 29, 1922, to Leonard and Effie Stoneman in Springfield, the second of six children. She was baptized into Christ at an early age and a current member of the Church of Christ, Nixa. Jane graduated from Senior High in Springfield, now Central High School, in 1942. She and Lowry Fount Gooch were married January 25, 1943. To this union two sons were born two sons, L. Darl Gooch and John Duane Gooch. She was employed by Royal McBee Typewriter in 1959 until the plant"�s closing in 1970. In 1983 she retired from St. John"�s Hospital after 13 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years, L. Fount Gooch in 2002, a son John D. Gooch and wife Shelia, two sisters, Arvilla Shipley and Velma Ann Perkins, two brothers, one in infancy, and Albert E. Stoneman. Survivors include: One son and daughter-in-law, Darl and Joyce Gooch of Nixa; one sister, Carol Hartley of Peculiar, one sister-in-law, Jane Stoneman of Raytown; three grandsons and their wives, Steve and Terri Gooch, Sedalia, Chris and Amanda Gooch, Springfield, and Jonathan Gooch, Springfield. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren, Sarah, Joshua and Hannah Gooch of Sedalia, and Hunter and Mason Gooch of Springfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Ozark Nursing and Care Center for the loving care given to their mother. "Mom, we loved and enjoyed you more than any words could ever express. Thank you for being the loving, giving person you were and the example you set for others. We love you, Mom. God bless and God speed."� Visitation will be at 1:00 Friday, January 13, with funeral services immediately following at 2:00 PM in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Tom Dennis and Charley Payne will officiate. Interment will follow in Patterson Cemetery.
