William “Bill” Edgar Tuttle, age 89, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024. He was born on June 1, 1935, in Topeka, Kansas, to William Tuttle and Elinor (Tague) Tuttle.
Bill served honorably with both the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Navy, exemplifying his love for his country. After his service, he enjoyed a long career at Hiland Dairy. A graduate of Central High School in Springfield, Bill remained a proud local resident and an avid supporter of his community.
Bill married the love of his life, Inge (Hinz) Tuttle, on December 29, 1972, and together they shared 51 wonderful years. Their shared love of travel took them to Germany and all across the United States.
Bill was known for his warm sense of humor, unwavering support of his grandchildren’s sports and wrestling matches, and his lifelong passion for sports. He was a devoted fan of the St. Louis Blues and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Bill is survived by his wife, Inge Tuttle; his children, Pam and Tony Todd, Rick Fish, Wayne Fish, Cherrie Fish, and Cassandra Tuttle of California. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Becky Todd and Edward Bross, Ben Todd and Sara Harrison, Joe and Casey Todd, Tiffany and Jesus Perches, Zach and Deidre Fish, and Leshia Fish and Tony Castillo. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Jesus “Tre” Perches, Gabe Fish, Canyon Fish, and Hudson Fish.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elinor Tuttle, and his sister, Sue Henry.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Adams Funeral Home in Ozark, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM with Dr. Wade Bridges officiating.
Bill’s legacy of humor, service, and love for family will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew him.
