William Benjamin Keith, age 79, of Shell Knob, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017. He was born March 28, 1937 in St. Louis, the son of Woodson Benedict Keith and Julia Eileen (Barton) Rensing. On December 11, 1954 he and Evelyn Kathleen Dement were married. Bill served his county in the U.S. Air Force.
Bill worked as a television technician for Frank Townsend TV Repair in Granite City, Illinois before moving to this area in 1971. He opened a TV repair shop in Kimberling City and in 1975 he and Kat purchased and operated a resort in Kimberling City for 10 years. In 2002 he and Kat moved to Shell Knob. Bill made the most of retirement and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, and bowling. He and Kat were members of the Elks Lodge in Kimberling City.
Survivors include: His wife, Kat; two children, Scott Keith of Osage Beach; and Lorri Monohon and husband Rick of Springfield; three grandchildren, Kimberly Keith, Caleb Allen, and Benjamin Allen; two great-grandchildren, Brock Tyson and Kellan Allen; and two brothers, Robert Keith and wife Carol, and Jim Keith and wife Beverly, all of the St. Louis area.
Visitation and viewing will be 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Thursday, February 16, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. According to Bill's wishes, cremation will follow.
