William (Bill) Young

William (Bill) Young, age 66, of Nixa passed away Monday, March 26, 2018. He was born January 31, 1952 in Springfield to Charley and Wanda (Chastain) Young. He graduated from Nixa High School in 1970. He met the love of his life, Kathy Tennis, and they were married March 1, 1976. Bill was a master at machinery. He could fix or build anything. He maintained machines at Springfield Aluminum for 23 years and later worked for SRC Automotive until he retired in 2012. He loved riding his Harley and spending time with his "Harley buds". He rebuilt several hot rods and his current car is 1939 Ford Coupe in mint condition. Bill and Kathy are members of Riverdale Baptist Church. Bill was a wonderful husband and father and will be dearly missed. Bill is survived by his wife Kathy; a son Matthew, his wife Cathy of Springfield; brothers and sisters-in-law Bill Tennis, his wife Phyllis, Florene Huff, and Darlene Kessinger; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and his church family at Riverdale Baptist Church. Bill is preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. March 29, 2018 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the funeral Home.
