William (Bill) Dowell Nichols, 62, passed away quietly at home on December 5, 2017. Born in Bartlesville, OK on September 25, 1955 to Densil O. Nichols and Ora Merritt Nichols.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Nichols, one daughter, Christine A. Mitchell (Trenton) and two grandsons, Jackson and Corbin, one brother, Johnny Nichols (Peggy) and one sister, Wyonda Gray (Jerry) and several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
Bill loved the outdoors and was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. Retired from City Utilities after 29 years of service. He finished in the Gas Pressure Department. He was very active in the IBEW 753 Local for several years as well as the retirement representative for the company. He enjoyed riding his Harley. Most importantly, his most valuable time was spent with family. The two grandsons were a priority and the love of his life. He was a wonderful husband and a caring father and grandfather.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Least of These in Nixa.
There will be a celebration of Bill's life on Saturday, December 30, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at the IBEW Union Hall, 2902 E. Division, Springfield, MO 65803.
Cremation under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
