Wilburn D. Little, age 67, of Ozark, passed away September 21, 2014. He was born to Dock and Imogene (Keysser) Little, November 4, 1946, in North Galloway Township, now known as Highlandville. Wilburn had a bachelor's degree in Education, and a Master's degree in Nursing. He worked as a nurse for many years, retiring from Rusk Federal Prison Hospital, in Rusk TX. Wilburn loved to make knives. He raised beagles, and showed them at UKC dog shows, winning many awards. Wilburn loved to go fishing, and especially go out to eat at Fat Daddy's Restaurant, in Forsyth, with his Aunt Lucy. He loved collecting stamps and post cards.
Wilburn was a quiet man. He was kind and generous to his family. Wilburn moved to Ozark from Rusk, TX, after retiring from the Hospital, to be with his family, where he was surrounded with love. He was of Methodist faith.
Wilburn is survived by his son Ryan Little, and his wife Brenne, of Hollman, WI; a sister Sharon Schleis, and husband Ted, of Ozark; a brother Roger Little, of Charleston, SC; nephews Aaron Layton, and Roger Lee Little Jr.; a special cousin Marie Whisnant, of Clever; special aunts Lucille Dennis, of Bradleyville, and Alice Jane Blanchard, of Ozark; and a special uncle Tommy Little, of Ponce De Leon.
Wilburn is preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 25, 2014, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Eisenhour Cemetery, Spokane.
Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
