Wesley D. Rhoades

Wesley D. "Dusty" Rhoades, age 86 of Ozark passed away July 4, 2016 at his home. Wesley was born September 27, 1929 in Indianapolis, Indiana the son of Charles and Lula Rhoades. Wesley was united in marriage to Maxine Roten February 12, 1955. Wesley served in the United States Navy from 1946 - 1948. He was a Greyhound Bus Driver for 27 years and President of Amalgamated Transit Union for six years covering nine states. He enjoyed traveling, RV Camping, and trading and was a member of First Baptist Church, Ozark. Wesley was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings. Survivors include his wife, and children, Deborah Rhoades, Bartlesville, OK, Greg Rhoades and wife Jeanne, Knightstown, IN, Denise Akers, and husband Don, Newcastle, IN, Rhonda Preston, and husband Darrell, Greenfield, MO, Ron Rhoades, and wife Mary Ann, Sherwood, AR, and Richard Rhoades and wife Sandy, Seymour, MO. A visitation will be held Friday, July 8, 2016 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Ozark, MO with Pastor Richard Rhoades officiating. Burial will be in Selmore Cemetery, Ozark, MO under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Memorial donations may be made to Ozark First Baptist Church Building Fund or Music Ministry.
