On April 9, 1932, Ed and Opal Siler Knell welcomed their son Wendell Hoyt Knell.
Wendell served 30 years in the U.S. Air Force. He performed five tours overseas in Thailand, Korea, Japan, Vietnam and Canada. Wendell was preceded in death by his wife, Edda Westcott Knell; his son, Dwayne Knell; his brothers, Fred Knell and Frank Knell; his sisters, Deloris and Emma Jean. Wendell is survived by his wife, Imogene Bunch Knell; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Day and husband T.J.; and a grandson, Ian Knell; great grandchildren, Josey Beth and Jacie; daughter in law, Mary Beth Calkin and husband Barry; stepdaughters, Tina White and husband Steven and Trina Jaeger and husband Pat; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor Michael Shockley officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Park Cemetery (formerly Knell Cemetery) Carthage, Missouri, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
