Wendell Eugene Estep

Wendell Estep, age 79 of Sparta, died suddenly of a heart attack on November 17, 2020. He was born February 2, 1941 in Springfield, the son of Richard and Lucille Estep. On March 9, 1972 Wendell was united in marriage to Connie Weter Johns. Survivors include: his wife Connie Estep of Sparta; his son, Mark Estep and wife Shawna; daughter, Tina Swearengin and husband Harold; grandkids, Cheyeanne and husband Anthony Hagler, Erica and husband Daniel Clark, Austin Swearengin and fiance' Caylei Jarnajin; two great grandsons, Greyson and Brantley Prichard; his brother, Thomas Estep and wife Judy; a special friend, Bryan Dill; and lots of other family and friends. Wendell was preceded in death by his parents; a son D.J. Johns; and granddaughter, Shelby Estep. Wendell loved watching his great grandsons, Greyson and Brantley play outside. He went out every morning to drink coffee and watch deer and turkey and to feed his pet cardinal. Wendell loved his family and friends very much and enjoyed spending his time with them. He will be truly missed. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Reggie Micham officiating. Visitation will be held from 9-10 A.M. immediately before the funeral in the funeral home.
