Wayne Clayton Thigpen, age 76 of Branson, died September 2, 2024. He was born September 2, 1948 in Long Beach, California, the son of Clifford Clayton and Mary Louise (Hillebert) Thigpen.
Survivors include: his daughters, Sara Janelle (Thigpen) Musick and her son, Corey Nash Musick, Heather Gayle (Thigpen) Doster and her three children, and Courtney Lynn (Thigpen) and her four children; a brother, Michael Wade Thigpen; and a sister, Linda Louise (Thigpen) May.
Wayne served his country in the U.S. Navy as a corpsman medic. Throughout his life he worked as a Howard Johnson restaurant manager, boat business owner, truck driver and retired as a commercial airline pilot at age 65.
Wayne's hobbies include: horse riding, hunting elk and other game with his father at an earlier age, boating, water skiing and snow skiing, and scuba diving. He loved being out in nature. Wayne also enjoyed trap shooting with his daughter, Sara. He loved woodworking and building model airplanes.
Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory. Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
