Wanda Lee Loftis, age 86 of Ozark, passed away May 6, 2021. She was born July 22, 1934 in Ozark County, the daughter of Albert and Delphia (Sanders) Hillhouse.
On February 2, 1957 she was united in marriage to Delbert “D.D.” Loftis, who preceded her in death on December 28, 2000. Wanda was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Eunice Wray and husband Alva and Bonnie Rae Hillhouse; and two brothers, Gene Hillhouse and Darwin Hillhouse and wife Mildred.
Survivors include: her daughters, Debi Hartley and husband Tom of Branson and Shelia Stamper and husband Abe of Nixa; grandchildren, Tyler Hartley and wife Lindsey, Tanner Hartley and wife Amanda, all of Chestnutridge, Taylor Stamper and fiancé’ Roman Zind and Hailey Stamper and fiancé Braden Williams, all of Ozark; great grandchildren, Aspen, Willow, Coleman, Hadley Grace, McKenna and Olivia Mae; her sister, Velta Jackson and husband Jack of Springfield; her brother, Loren Hillhouse and wife June of Wasola, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors at Autumn Corners.
Wanda was a homemaker and loved being with her family. She was saved and baptized at a young age and most recently attended James River Church in Ozark. Wanda greatly enjoyed being outdoors and walking in the neighborhood. She was affectionately known as “Walking Wanda.”
At Wanda’s request a private family graveside service will be held at McCoy Cemetery, under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Friends are welcome to stop by the funeral home Monday, May 10, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. to sign the book and receive a memorial folder. Memorial donations in Wanda’s name may be made to McCoy Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
