Wanda Faye Johnson

Wanda Faye Johnson, age 79, Nixa, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010. She was born May 21, 1931 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the daughter of Lloyd and Elsie (Shackleford) Evans. On June 18, 1954 she married Lenard Ray Johnson. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2006. Faye was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She was a member of North Nixa Baptist Church. Survivors include: three daughters, Linda Dodds and husband Tom, Nixa; Pam Johnson and husband David, Salem, and Kim Beuerlein and husband Tom, Raymore; a son, Steve Johnson and wife Kathy, Lee"�s Summit; two sisters, LaVoyce Robinson and Dulca Phillips; and a brother, Arlie Evans, Springdale, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Faye was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Barbara Jean Evans. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Jerry Francisco officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 AM Friday in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be from 1-3 PM Thursday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
