Wanda Mae Doran, age 81, of Nixa passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018. Wanda was born November 21, 1936 in Turners Station to Charles William and Beulah Mae (Owens) Powell. She Graduated from Strafford High School. She accepted Christ into her heart at an early age as a child. Wanda married Milton Doran December 21, 1962. They lived in Springfield until moving to Nixa in 1968 where they lived many happy years until her passing.
Wanda worked many years as a doctor's assistant in Nixa, Springfield and Ozark. In early years, she enjoyed camping and traveling. Her most pleasure was being around her family and talking about all the memories they made through the years. She always looked forward to the Holidays when all of the family was together. She remembered every birthday and made each one feel special and dear to her heart. In her spare time, she enjoyed making quilts and did so until her hands did not cooperate as well.
Wanda is survived by her husband Milton; two sons Randall Doran, his wife Cynthia of Republic and Jeffrey Doran, his wife Tammie of Nixa; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews and in-laws who were all very special to her.
Proceeded in death by: her parents; siblings Geneva Davis, Barbara Myers and Morris Powell.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, July 5, 2018 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 6, 2018 in the funeral home. Burial will follow at McConnell Cemetery, Nixa.
