Virginia Lee Kissee

Virginia Lee Kissee, age 87 of Sparta, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013. She was born August 5, 1926, in Sparta, the daughter of Harvey and Grace (Lee) Jenkins. On October 14, 1944 she was united in marriage to Knial B. Kissee. They owned and operated their farm in Sparta. Virginia enjoyed gardening. She worked as a bookkeeper at Citizens Bank in Sparta for many years. Survivors include: her husband; two daughters, Karen Harville and husband Alan, and Becky Hackenwerth and husband Mike; her son, Gary Kissee and wife Connie; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and her dear friends, the girls at the bank. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; infant granddaughter, Angela Lynn Harville; her brothers, James and Roger Jenkins; and two sisters, June Barrett and Florence Hays. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday in Sparta Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
