Virginia Mae Holland, age 90, passed away in her home in Springfield, Wednesday, January 16, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born to Earl and Henrietta (Brandt) Harvey on August 8, 1922, in Amboy, Minnesota. Virginia was a beautician and owned her own beauty salon in King City, Mo until she was married. She was united in marriage to Bobby Holland August 6, 1943, in Sheridan, Mo. Bobby and Virginia owned several businesses throughout their life together. One of which was a small town drug store, with a soda fountain, in Sheridan. Virginia continued to be a beautician for friends throughout her life. Her family and friends have said Virginia was a "spit-fire", a confident and vibrant woman. She was a dedicated mom and a devoted wife. The love she had for her family was immeasurable. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Survivors include: Her husband Bob, Daughters Bobbe Motsinger and husband Jim, of Houston TX, Keitha Kaminski and husband Joe, of Kansas City, Stephanie Pudik and husband David, of McKinney, TX, son Scott Holland and his wife Terri, of Nixa, Mo, and Kelly Davis affectionately referred to by Bob and Virginia as their 4th daughter, who was Virginia's care giver during her illness. Grand children: Scott Motsinger and wife Beverly, of Belton, TX, Chad Motsinger, of Houston, TX, Matt Motsinger and wife Kelly, of Houston, TX, Whitney Simms and husband Leon, of Ardmore, OK, Andrew Kaminski and wife Amy, of Kansas City, Frankie Acheson and husband Scott, Allen, TX, Taylor, Sammi, and Brenna Holland, of Nixa, and 19 great grandchildren.
Virginia was preceded in death by: Her parents, and two sisters, Viola Kline, and Violet Lewellen.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 4:00 P.M. at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A visitation/viewing will be from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service.
