Mrs. Virginia Ann Kornegay Clay of Spokane, MO, formerly of West Point, MS, went home to be with her heavenly Father on November 25, 2016. Mrs. Clay was born June 30, 1942 in Monroe County, MS to the late Noel and Virgie Kornegay. She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Clay; one brother Carroll Kornegay; and one sister Faye Brown. She is survived by three children, Patti Clay of Spokane, MO; Laurie Seay (Gary) of Millport, AL and Ben Clay (Glenda) of Nixa, MO. She also helped raise two nephews Thomas Clay (Vanessa) of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Kavan Clay of Millport, AL. Virginia has nine grandchildren: Brandy Eby (Brian) of Highlandville, MO; Christopher Seay (Nancy) of Kansas City, MO; Jonathan Seay (Keya) of Reform, AL; David Seay of Millport, AL; Britney Westbrook of Hurly, MO; Michael Westbrook (Courtnee) of Bella Vista, AR; Aaron Westbrook (Gini) of Nixa, MO; Benji Clay of Nixa, MO; Jake Delmonte (Jessica) of Tacoma, WA. Two sisters: Mary Ward of West Point, MS; Alice Rawlings of Hood River, OR; one brother Charles Kornegay (Lula) of West Point, MS; and a brother-in-law, Don Clay of Millport, AL. Eight great-grandchildren: Maggie Eby, Everett and Jackson Seay, Grayson Delmonte, Jordan and Logan Yoho, and Carter and Ty Westbrook.
Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Tuesday, November 29, in First Baptist Church of Spokane with Pastor Thomas Clay and Pastor Randall Harwood officiating. Burial will follow in Schupbach Cemetery, Chestnutridge, MO. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until service time on Tuesday. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, MO.
