Virgie Irene Jenkins

Virgie Irene Beavers-Jenkins was born December 8, 1954 in Mtn. View. She departed this world on Saturday, July 16, 2016 to be with Christ Jesus, our Lord. Virgie was united in marriage to Eddie Lee Jenkins on July 8th 1976 in Kennett. To this union two children were born: Jennifer Ilene Sopko and husband, Jason, of Fairdealing and Christopher Lee Jenkins and wife, Rachel, of Nixa. Virgie was preceded in death by her father, Oliver E. Beavers and mother, Sylvia I. Beavers. Virgie is survived by her husband Eddie and 2 children, 4 grandchildren, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and a host of siblings by marriage that were more than in-laws. Her family was there for her in the happy times, sad times, and any time. She was a registered nurse and loved every minute of it. Helping people, friends and family, wherever they might be: in hospitals, nursing homes, or at home. She worked for 30 years at Doctors Hospital and Three Rivers Regional Medical Center. She worked every floor in the hospital at one time or another but her favorite was Labor & Delivery and Newborn Nursery. Virgie confessed her faith on October 2, 2003 and was a member of Countryside Christian Church in Nixa. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. In lieu of flowers benevolence donations can be made out to Countryside Christian Church on Virgie's behalf.
