Viola Frances Tennant

Viola Frances Tennant, age 77 of Nixa, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011. She was born August 23, 1934 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Henry Carl and Thelma Frances (Hillers) Bauer. Viola worked as a banker and then a realtor in Colorado. After moving to Nixa, she worked as a realtor before having an engraving business with her husband. Viola enjoyed oil painting and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was also very active in square dancing clubs "� The Teenagers, Coordinators, Branson Shooting Stars, T Squares, and Aurora Grand Squares. Survivors include: her loving husband, Don Tennant; her sons, Wade Ihle, Gary Ihle and wife Kathy, Scott Tennant and wife Pam, Bart Tennant and wife Karen, Kent Tennant and wife Jenny, her daughter, Shari Johnson and husband Michael, 12 grandchildren; two great granddaughters; her brother, Vern Bauer and wife Susie; and her niece Sheri Sutton. Viola was preceded in death by her parents; and her nephew, Scott Bauer. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Pastor Jamie Bilyeu officiating. The family would like to thank Viola"�s special circle of friends who were close to her. Memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels or the charity of the donor"�s choice.
