Tyler Lee Phipps

April 8, 1985 — September 27, 2015

Tyler Lee Phipps, of Clever, MO, was born April 8th, 1985 to Steve Phipps and Lisa Nickelson. He was married to the love of his life, Ashley, on October 13, 2012. He was called home to be with his Lord Saturday, September 26, 2015, while doing what he loved best, deer hunting. Tyler attended Ozark High School, where he played baseball and wrestled, and attended York College in Nebraska on a wrestling scholarship, where he received a marketing degree. He worked at his dad's company, Market Fresh Produce, in Nixa, MO where he was Senior Director of Sourcing. His work ethic was second to none. Tyler was a very humble man and never told anyone what an important role he played in the company. Tyler was saved at a young age and spent his life as a conservative, Christian man of integrity. He was never ashamed of his beliefs or his faith. He was quiet until you got to know him, but if you asked him to pray over a crowd, he never hesitated. Men like him are rare these days. He was always there when you needed him. He was an honest, trustworthy man and a rock for so many people. Tyler was the best son, brother, husband, and friend you could ask for. He truly loved life and really lived it to the fullest. Life was an adventure to him. "Phippsy" was a man's man and the strongest, toughest guy we knew. He was a lover of the outdoors. His favorite thing was to be outside hiking, camping, fishing, floating, and hunting. He spent countless hours at Bass Pro and Cabela's. He and his wife had recently returned from a week-long hiking trip to Glacier National Park, which he said was his best vacation ever. He was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed watching them play in numerous stadiums. He also loved to build furniture pieces and was very talented at that. Tyler had the biggest heart of gold and genuinely cared about people. He was one of the most fun people and so loving, thoughtful, and kind, and was a friend to so many. His great big smile and infectious laugh would light up the room. His big muscly, strong arms gave the best hugs and he gave them freely. He was so positive and loved to bring a smile to others' faces and make them laugh. He was incredibly funny and had the ability to make anything fun. He was so well-liked, respected, and loved by so many people. Our hearts are broken and he will be forever missed. Tyler is survived by his loving wife, Ashley; dad and stepmom, Steve and Vickie Phipps; mom and stepdad, Lisa and Mark Nickelson; father and mother-in-law, Rocky and Tammie Kerans, brother-in-law, Cody Kerans; brother and best friend, Travis and wife Chelsea Phipps; younger brother, Hunter Phipps, who he was so proud of; grandparents Argel and Rita Bilyeu; Pa Gary Phipps; great-grandma Eula Holmes, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whose lives he touched; and his four-legged kids, "the best dogs in the world" as he called them, Huck, Maverick, and Ella. The world is truly less full without your spirit, but we know you're in Heaven hugging Granny Faith Phipps, Uncle Marvin Bilyeu, great-grandpa Travis Holmes, great-Pa Frank and Nanaw Glessie Phipps, great-grandparents Lee and Merle Bilyeu, great-grandparents Lester and Merle Blansit, and Aunt Gayla Sue Phipps. We look forward to the time when we can laugh together again and see your big smile and hug waiting for us at those pearly gates. Until then, we know you're in Heaven fishing with Peter and wrestling with Jacob. We love you with all our hearts, Phippsy. Phil 4:13.
