Twila June Butts

Twila June Butts, age 74, of Nixa, Missouri, entered her eternal heavenly home on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. Twila was born on May 26, 1948, to Duke and Nettie (McCrorey) Davis in Gassville, Arkansas.

Twila was a life long nurse and cared for many patients in the area. She attended Graff/OTC Nursing School  and graduated in 1985, where she started her career. She was a talented pianist and an avid walker with her friends and dogs. Twila loved to sew, do arts and crafts and was a devoted animal lover. Twila attended Assembly of God church and was a devoted christian and loved gospel music.

Twila and her sister Kathy were privileged to travel to Israel, which was  the highlight to her life. They were both baptized in the Jordan River together.

Twila is survived by her  brother John Davis and wife Kathy (Nixa); sister Kathy Alexander and husband Bob (Pierce City); many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents Duke and Nettie Davis; brother Joe Davis and half-sister Margie Holder.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to Rescue One.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.  A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Martin Cemetery, Highlandville, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
