Make the best you can of it.
Of the little words that come
out of the silence, like prayers
prayed back to the one who prays,
make a poem that does not disturb
the silence from which it came."
– Wendell Berry

He earned his Doctorate and continued service to his country by using his experience as a leader to guide several military associated businesses. He loved his job as President of Proposal Helper and Bid Execs.
Troy was thought of as a "Marines Marine." He loved and was loved by his military family.
Troy was always proud to talk about his children and their accomplishments, his wife Barb and her business adventures and their animals. He loved being at his home taking care of the horses, dogs, chickens and literally whatever wandered up, animal or human. He was happy working on his tractor, baling hay, moving horses between pastures and working hard. Troy loved having the grandchildren around to help him on the property and teach them how to do things. He had fully converted from Marine uniform to cowboy hat and boots and was happy. He was the family rock.

A service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
