Trecia Marilina Griffin, age 77, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016. She was born October 31, 1938 in Branson, the daughter of John and Viola (Hall) Hitchcock. On March 27, 1964 she and Edward Cantor Griffin were united in marriage.
As a young woman Trecia worked for the Assembly of God Headquarters in Springfield. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of Ed, her children, and enjoying her grandchildren. Always busy with her hands, Trecia loved to sew, and enjoyed many craft projects. She also spent time researching genealogy.
Survivors include: her husband of 53 years, Ed; two daughters, Sharon Morgan and husband Mike of Rogersville, and Cathy Griffin of Springfield; grandchildren, Amber Herrera and husband Sergio; Zachary Lynn Combs, Michaela Brown and husband Tony, Jordan Morgan, and Jacob Morgan; great-grandchildren, Colton Rocco, Rachel Herrera, Kaitlyn Herrera, and Kynslee Herrera; nieces, Vivian Hoover, Roylena Alvarado, and Trecia Gail Doss; and a nephew Robert Coffelt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and a brother.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 27, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Selmore Cemetery, south of Ozark. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM Saturday until funeral time.
