Tony Wayne McGowan

Anthony Wayne McGowan “Tony”, age 56, passed away suddenly in Springfield, Missouri on May 22, 2023. Tony was born on January 25, 1967, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Fred and Dee McGowan. 

Tony was a son, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, and friend to all. The love Tony had for his family was unending and unconditional. Tony was fiercely loyal, and stood by his beliefs. Tony was a proud veteran and was proud that he was able to serve his country. He was funny, courageous, and wise. He loved his job at Kinney Billiards and had many side jobs he also enjoyed. He always offered a helping hand and was quick to forgive any transgressions. Tony will be sorely missed and and forever loved by his family.

He is survived by his mom Dee McGowan; his wife and best friend Mandy McGowan; daughter Brittany McGowan and partner Adam Carter; son Kyle McGowan and partner Ashley Bailey; son Cody McGowan; son Nathan McGowan and partner Ashley Owen’s; son Kamron McGowan and partner Abigail Robbins; daughter Tara Hazelrigg-Keeney; grandchildren Riley, Gavin, Penelope, Tein, Sebastian, and Sage.and  his sister Becky Aldredge and partner Mike. as well as 3 nieces

Preceded in death by his grandparents and his father Fred McGowan. 

Cremation rites are entrusted with Adams Funeral Home and Crematory.
