Tommy Tanton Padgett, age 78, of Ozark, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011. He was born December 12, 1932 in Ponce De Leon, Florida, the son of John and Myrtle (Haughton) Padgett. He served his country in the U.S. Army. On February 20, 1954, he and Doris Lakey were united in marriage. Tommy retired from Kraft Foods. He was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Florida, and attended Selmore Baptist Church in Ozark. Tommy was happiest when he kept himself busy with yard work and fixing things around the house and for others. Doris preceded Tommy in death in 2009. His son, Johnny Wayne Padgett, also preceded him in death as well as his parents and three brothers, Earl, Bill, and Clyde. Survivors include: His daughter, Paulette Riedle, Ozark; five grandchildren, Jeff White of Ozark, Logan Riedle and wife Adrienne of Nixa, Shannon Lopez and husband Eric of Arizona, Amber Padgett of Republic, and Kimberlee Nichols of Highlandville; eight great-grandchildren, Jacob, Mackenzie, Mikayla, Bristol, Tanton, Madison, Dallas, and Brittani. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 2, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Josh Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Ava City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 "� 7:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home.
