Thomas "Tom" Harold Goosey

Thomas (Tom) Harold Goosey, age 62 of Ozark, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016. He was born October 18, 1953 in Moberly, Missouri, the son of the late Alfred Harold Goosey and Arlene (Newbrough) Goosey of Buffalo. Tom was united in marriage to Deborah Diane (Rollins) Goosey on July 8, 1978. Surviving loved ones are his wife, Debbie; cherished daughter, Megan; his mother, Arlene; his siblings, Bob and wife Jan Goosey, Springfield, Marsha and husband Kent Heiken, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Sheryl Moore, Springfield, Tina Sanders, Buffalo and Debbie and husband Ken Manary, Buffalo; many in-laws; nieces; nephews; family; and friends who will deeply miss him. All will remember his jolly laugh and humor. A man of faith in Christ, Tom served as deacon and Sunday School teacher for decades. Tom led the Jr. High Boys most of those years. Tom was employed with Loren Cook Company, Springfield, and previously at FASCO, Ozark. Tom served his country in the U.S. Navy. Tom was an avid sports fan of St. Louis and Springfield Cardinals, KC Royals and Chiefs, Drury Panthers, Mizzou Tigers and Ozark Tigers and other Missouri teams. His last day was spent enjoying a winning Ozark football game and seeing his friends there. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016 in First Baptist Church of Ozark, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday immediately before the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Ozark.
