Thomas Joseph Moore, age 70, of Nixa, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018. He was born October 26, 1947, in Springfield, Missouri. He graduated from Parkview High School, in 1965 where he was a proud member�of the State Championship�Jolly Green Giants. �He served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee.�
Tom was married to the love of his life Mary (Donica) in 1966. They lived in Nixa on the family farm. Tom was known for his quiet demeanor, infectious laugh, emotional nature and gentle spirit. Although Tom was a man of few words he always had a unfailing kindness for both his family and friends. We were blessed with many valuable lessons from Dad including his favorite quote to us "Remember who you are".�
Tom�loved�NASCAR, Corvettes and could be found looking for treasures at garage sales, auctions and spending time with his family. Tom was an electrician by trade and worked for IBEW for 51 years as both an Electrician and Contractor. He could always be found working on blueprints at home bidding jobs until his retirement in 2017. Tom was the past President of the Hollister-Branson Rotary. Tom was a man of great faith and attended Union Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; his sons, Kevin (Lorna) of Independence, Mo., Scott (Gretchen) of Nixa, Mo and a daughter Samantha Vaughn (Matt) of Clever, Mo.; grandchildren, Sarah Moore, Wyatt Vaughn, Madilyn Vaughn and Isaac Moore;�his mother, Betty Moore;�two sisters, Debbie Mills (Michael), Marilyn Simpson (Brad); brother-in-law David�Donica�and wife Maggie Shepard; special friend Linda Fairweather;�cousins,�nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by father, Jack Moore; his biological mother, Elaine Moore;�and�brother-in-law Carl�Donica.�
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Adams Funeral Home in Nixa with Steve Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Patterson Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
