Theron Bushnell Miner

Theron B. Miner, Jr, age 83, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012. He was born November 12, 1928 in Danville, Illinois, the son of Theron and Louise (Burrus) Miner. He served his country in the Army Central Intelligence Corps from 1951-1953. Mr. Miner was an insurance businessman for 40 years. He served as Alderman for Kimberling City, and served as the first president of the Kimberling City Rotary Club from 1976 until 1978. Survivors include: His wife of 61 years, Sally, Springfield; three children, Susie Abbott and husband Jeff, Ft. Worth, Texas; Kathy Tulipana and husband Pasquale, Kansas City, and John Miner, Springfield; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be 11:30 AM Thursday, June 28, in Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Nixa, with Pastor Dennis Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until service time on Thursday. A graveside service will be 2:30 PM Thursday in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
