Therese Markus

Therese Markus, age 95, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018. She was born August 25, 1922 in Tutenhausen, Germany, the daughter of Georg and Anna Entfellner. She was united in marriage to Viktor Markus in Germany. Together, along with their five year old son, they moved to the United States in 1951. From Cleveland, Ohio, Therese moved to Tucson, Arizona, and later to Ozark to be near her son, Viktor. Therese loved to sew. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and was an excellent cook. Throughout her life, Therese worked hard with each task she accepted. Survivors include her son, Viktor Markus and wife Susan, of Ozark, Missouri, and nieces and nephews in Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband, Viktor; her parents; two sisters; three brothers; and a granddaughter, Alexis. A funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, April 2, at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Springfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to a local animal shelter.
