Thelma Ann (Siravo) Duffy, age 93, of Springfield, Missouri went to the Lord on May 2, 2019. Thelma was born on April 6, 1926 in West Warwick, Rhode Island to William and Emma Siravo. Thelma married Jerome Duffy in West Warwick, RI in 1948. To this union were born two children: Deborah Jane and Michael Shawn.
In 1945, Thelma completed her work for the U.S. Navy Dept. as an aircraft Engine Inspector in Quonset Point, R.I. Thelma later worked for several years in North Kingstown and Providence, RI as a bakery manager.
Thelma moved to Springfield in 2014 to be closer to her family. She is survived directly by her sister, Dolores Prusha of Phoenix, AZ, her daughter Deborah Jane Mitchell of Springfield, and her son Michael Shawn Duffy of Champion, Nebraska, several nieces and nephews, eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Thelma was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, "Nana", and friend. She loved beauty, had a talent for home decoration, and was known for her hospitality. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
According to her wishes, the body has been cremated under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ozark. No formal services are planned.
