Terry Duane Ross passed away in Ellsworth County, Kansas on Saturday, June 18, 2022. He was born on May 25, 1958, in Salem, Oregon. He currently resided in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Terry is survived by the following loving family members: his parents, Peggy Sue (Wherley) Ross and John Patrick Ross, his sister and her husband, Alisa and Don Reum, his brother and his wife, Bob and Kim Ross, his nephews, Devin Reum and JT Ross, his nieces, Adaira Reum and Kacey Ross, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. His grandparents and multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins preceded him in death.
Terry proudly served his country during Desert Storm and the Gulf War in the United States Navy and received many good conduct awards as well as the Meritorious Unit Commendation and an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.
He was a skilled carpenter, handyman, and could fix most anything and he was an amazing cook, who enjoyed hosting his family and friends. Terry was a passionate motorcyclist and loved riding his Harley Davidson through the Rocky Mountains. The many friends he rode with will dearly miss him.
On Saturday, July 2, 2022, a memorial service with full military honors will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 109 N Truman Blvd., in Nixa, Missouri at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 9:00 am. A luncheon will be hosted after the service at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 911 W Mount Vernon St, Nixa, Missouri.
On Friday, July 8, 2022, Terry will be laid to rest in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
On Sunday, July 10, 2022, Terry will take his final ride through the Rocky Mountains with his friends. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held after that ride at Murray's Street Darts in Colorado Springs, Colorado. All are welcome to attend.
