Terry Douglas Rice

 Terry Douglas Rice, 60, of Galena, Missouri, passed away on March 12, 2025. Born on October 7, 1964, to Howard Rice and Shirley Mullen, Terry spent his life in the Ozarks, where he built a career and a life filled with passion for the outdoors and care for those around him.

 A 1982 graduate of Galena High School, Terry dedicated most of his career to the insurance industry, working alongside his mother at Mullen and Associates in Nixa, Missouri. He took great pride in helping others secure their futures through life, health, and dental insurance. His work was more than just a job, it was an extension of his deep compassion for people.

 Terry was at his happiest when surrounded by nature. Whether casting a line into James River, sitting by a campfire, hunting, or simply enjoying the peace of the outdoors, he found joy in the simple moments. His love for the wilderness reflected his adventurous spirit and appreciation for the beauty of life.

 Terry is survived by his son, Dusty Rice and wife Stacy of Breaux Bridge, LA; his daughter, Mandi Clark and husband Jason of Monett, MO; his beloved grandchildren, Keyton Rice, Mason Rice, Wyatt Rice, Cadence Logan, Zach Whitener, and Braden Whitener; and great-granddaughter, Anna Leigh Logan. He also leaves behind a host of cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

 A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, Missouri. A visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service.  Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, Missouri and cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory.

  Terry will be remembered for his kindness, his love for family and friends, and the way he embraced life with an open heart. His presence will be dearly missed, but his memory will live on in the many lives he touched.
