Teresa Fern Jennings

Teresa Fern Jennings, a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025. Born on July 24, 1940, to Vassie and Nadine (Goodall) Young, Teresa spent her life dedicated to faith, family, and love.

On September 12, 1956, she married the love of her life, and together they built a marriage full of unwavering love and companionship. They shared a golden anniversary before her beloved husband passed on April 8, 2018. Through the years, Teresa was his caretaker, protector, and guiding light—ensuring he was always looked after with boundless love and devotion.

Teresa’s heart belonged to her home and family. She took great pride in creating a warm and beautifully decorated space where everything had its perfect place. From an early age, she took on the responsibility of helping raise her siblings, gaining the organizational skills that earned her the loving title of “Suzy Homemaker.” Her passion for homemaking and interior design reflected the care and precision she put into every aspect of her life.

She cherished holidays and treasured the time spent with her family, filling her home with laughter, love, and tradition. A woman of deep faith, Teresa was devoted to her Pentecostal beliefs, ensuring that church and scripture were a guiding force in her family's life. She found great comfort in reading the Bible and sharing its wisdom with those she loved.

Teresa also found joy in simple pleasures, like gathering around the table for a lively game of Aggravation with family and friends. Her laughter and competitive spirit made these moments unforgettable.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion—a life well-lived and hearts forever touched by her kindness. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to live on in the lives of all who were blessed to know her.

Teresa is survived by one son; Randy (Shelvie) Jennings; four daughters, Deanna (Rick) Duke, Diana (Tim) Phillips, Marsha Clark, Lisa (Billy) Green; two sisters, Iva Lackey, Debby Wages; twenty grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Eli Jennings; four brothers, Billy Young, Kenneth Young, Jimmy Young, Jerry Young; a sister, Marie Jacobs and one daughter; Janie Dean.

A visitation will be 11:30 am-12:30 pm, Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, Missouri.  A committal service will be held following the visitation at McConnell Bledsoe Cemetery with Pastor Gayle Cobb officiating.
