Teddy Gene Acup

Teddy Gene "Ted" Acup Sr, 83, born January 6, 1934 in Marble Hill, passed away on Sunday, February 19th, in Nixa. Ted served 10 years of active duty in the US Air Force and traveled the world before settling in Belleville, IL. He and his wife raised four children. He later worked for the US Army in St Louis while serving in the Air National Guard. Ted was an avid baseball fan, enjoying cheering on the St Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed the solitude of fishing, the closeness of camping with his family, the thrill of a roller coaster, and was proud of his Private Pilot's License. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Nancy (Jenkins) Acup. In addition to his four children; and beloved son- and daughter-in-law; Ted leaves six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, March 11, at Adams Funeral Home in Ozark. Cremation is under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
