Susie Meadows

Susie Meadows, age 67, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017. She was born July 7, 1949 in Grant, NE to Lafie and Madeline (Taylor) Craft. Susie married David Meadows, Sr. September 10, 1966. Susie worked at FASCO for ten years and then went over the road with her husband, David, in the trucking business. She worked with her husband for 20 years until her health failed. Susie was very outgoing and never knew a stranger. She was a strong woman, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand mother. She loved her Boston Terriers: Chester, Bonnie and Clyde. Susie is survived by her children Ginger and Terry Hanson of Springfield, Debbie and Larry Gideon of Highlandville, David and Dena Meadows, Jr of Highlandville; six grandchildren David and Allison Hanson of Springfield, Derrick Hanson of Springfield, Megan Gideon, Larry and Tiffany Gideon, Taylor Meadows, Kayla and Brandon Gideon all of Highlandville; great-grandchildren Logan, Haylea, Gunner, Madalyn and Divinity Hanson of Springfield, Adley Gideon of Highlandville, Abigail Gideon of Highlandville; siblings Billy and Sharon Craft of Gentry AR, David and Diana Craft of IL, Dale Wayne and Judy Craft of Ravenden Springs, AR, Linda and Rodney Saylors of Ravenden, AR, Ronnie Craft of IL; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law LeAnn Williams and Brenda Pugh of Ohio. Susie was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband David Meadows Sr. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, April 28, 2017 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
