Sue Lynn Stumpff, age 77, of Ozark, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 at Autumn Oaks Caring Center, Mountain Grove. She was born February 18, 1940 in Springfield, the daughter of Lester and Jenny (King) Wommack. She took pride in the historic Wommack Family Mill located in Fair Grove. Sue was a 1958 graduate of Central High School. On February 17, 1962 she and Loy Tom Stumpff were married.
Sue was a member of First Baptist Church, Ozark. She retired as branch manager from Ozark Bank in 2001, and previously she and Loy operated the Dairy Queen in Ozark. Sue enjoyed Bunco, playing cards with friends, and hosting pie suppers.
Survivors include: two children and their spouses, Greg and Marcie Stumpff of Mountain Grove, and Sherry and Clay Green of Rogersville; two grandchildren, Charlotte Yarger and husband Nathan, and Zachary Stumpff and wife Tiffanie; six great-grandchildren, Summer, Gage, Zander, and Gabriella Yarger, and Eden and Emberlyn Stumpff; a sister, Barbara Philbrook of Kansas City, KS; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loy, in 2012, her parents, brothers, Willis, Lowell, and Eugene Wommack, and two sisters, Elizabeth Dennis and Laura Lou Raby.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, March 30, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Visitation will be from noon until service time on Thursday. Burial will follow the service in Weaver Cemetery, Ozark. Memorial donations may be made in Sue's name to The Gideons International.
