Steven Ray Salkil, age 62, of Seymour, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018. He was born November 21, 1955 in California, the son of Henry and Henrietta (Beabout) Salkil. He served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Steven was employed as a welder for Paul Mueller Company. Steven loved his family and especially looked forward to spending time with his 12 grandchildren. He enjoyed muscle cars and Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
Survivors include: Five children, Pacer Salkil and wife Brenda of Seymour, Angel Salkil of Springfield, Scott Salkil of Republic, Timothy Salkil and wife Sadie, presently serving in Germany, and Joyce Thomas and husband Josh of Willard; grandchildren Mahalah, Caitlin, Wyatt, Chloe, Dangel, Izzy, Luna, Autumn, Kaison, Curtis, Isaac, and Elijah; two sisters, Barbara Cook, and Joyce Fattig; a brother, Danny Salkil; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a nephew, Henry Cook.
A graveside funeral with military honors will be 10:00 AM Friday, October 5, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
