Stephen W. Pearce, Age 55, of Dighton, KS passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in Lane County, KS. He was born August 31, 1960 at Springfield, Missouri to Frank & Louise (Pendergrass) Pearce. He was united in marriage to Cynthia L. Tate on April 17, 2007 at Hanna, Oklahoma.
Stephen grew up in Springfield and attended Central High School. He served in the U.S. Army. Stephen worked as a Rough Neck and a driller in the oil fields of Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas for 37 years. In 2011 he moved to Dighton and was a feed truck driver for Ranger Feeders II. Stephen enjoyed riding his Harley, taking care of his puppies, deer hunting and helping his wife with the flower garden.
Survivors are his wife Cynthia Pearce, of the home; two sons Johnnie Pearce, of Arizona and Raymond Pearce of the home; two daughters Misty Christopher of McAlester, OK and Jessie Pearce, of Holdenville, OK; brothers Jimmy Dale Percival, of Nixa, and Greg Pearce, of South Carolina; two sisters Jan Sager, of Ogden, UT and Brenda Drew, of Springfield; a step-mother Janice Pearce, of Nixa; four grandchildren; and many friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Hopedale Cemetery with a funeral procession departing from Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, at 1:00 PM.
