Stanley Leonard Johnson, age 64, of Nixa, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 in his home. He was born October 16, 1951 in Springfield, the son of William Leonard Johnson and Louise (Adams) Johnson. He was united in marriage to Janice Lea Moore on August 6, 1983.
Throughout his working career Stan worked at Zenith, Springfield Remanufacturing Center, and had served as a custodian for the Ozark School System for nine years. A hard worker, Stan had built homes and most recently finished remodeling the home where he and Janice lived. Whatever task he did, he took pride in the detail of his work. He was always a help to others, and had not hesitated to care for his parents and Janice's parents before they passed away.
Survivors include: his wife Janice, of 32 years; a sister, Carolyn Sue Parker and husband Joe of Wyandotte, OK; two nephews; five nieces; great-nieces and great-nephews; extended family members and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mildred Johnson and husband James.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 25, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with H.E. "Spook" Whitener officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield. Visitation will be from 9:00AM until service time on Wednesday.
