Shirley Jean Peeler, age 83, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015. She was born in St. Louis on December 22, 1931.
Shirley retired as a nurse assistant from St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. She read the Word of God, and shared her love for Jesus with friends and family. Shirley was always giving and enjoyed baking for others, and taking care of her family. She took great pride in her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include: eight children, Trudy Marshall and husband Gene, Judith Thomas, Jackie Ruggeri, Constance Cunningham and husband John, Penny Brown and husband Ellis, Jenny Peeler, Clyde Mark Peeler, and Eva Marie Jean Grey; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold Stoltz and wife Mickie, and Junie Manley and wife Maggie; and a good friend, Sandy Marks.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Marie Johnson, and her husband Clyde Peeler.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 14, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Hopedale Cemetery, Ozark
