Shirley Ann Mullen

Shirley Ann Mullen, age 82, of Nixa, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024. She was born January 9, 1942, to Charles and Lula Belle Patrick and grew up in Abesville. Shirley graduated from Galena High School.

 Shirley owned Mullen and Associates Insurance Company. She enjoyed her work and loved her clients. In retirement she kept busy quilting, sewing, and bowling.

 She was a member of The Bridge Church. Shirley always looked forward to Bible Study, and spending time with her church friends.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Howard Rice, who died at a young age, and her second husband, Vernard Mullen who passed away in 2015. Also preceding her were two sisters, Emma Eutsler and Arvilla Michel.

 Shirley is survived by: A son, Terry Rice, of Galena; a grandson Dusty Rice and wife Stacy, of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; a granddaughter, Mandi Clark and husband Jason; great-grandchildren, Keyton, Mason, and Wyatt Rice, Cadence Logan, and Zach and Bradon Whitener; a special niece, Susan Odom; 2 special cousins, Rod and Leisha Patrick and a close dear friend Sally McDaniel. and other nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa and cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory.
