Shirley "Darlene" Hancock

Darlene Hancock, born September 20, 1936 in Boynton, Oklahoma to William Carlos and Willie Mae (Johnson) Campbell, passed away November 18, 2021 at Cox South in Springfield, Missouri.

Darlene worked for Pacific Bell as facility administrator for 30 years, retiring on November 1, 1988. Darlene was a member of James River Assembly.

Survivors include: her sons, David Wayne Hancock and wife Linda Faye of Kansas City and daughter-in-law Debi Hancock of Republic; a son-in-law Joe Vernile of Manchester, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Leslie, Daniell, Ginger, Pepper, David II, Shaun, Shanna, Zachary, Sam, Shaniqua, and Ladonna.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alan Hancock (March 29, 1999); son Richard Alan Hancock, daughter Vicky Sue Vernile, a sister, Wanda; and an infant son, William Charles.

Darlene was laid to rest at Hopedale Cemetery, Ozark, Missouri at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, November 22, 2021 under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
