Shirley Ethelyn Dostal

Shirley Ethelyn (Hatch) Dostal went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 29, 2011. She was born on September 4, 1913 in Kansas City, Missouri, the oldest child of Fred James Hatch, M.D. and Ethel (Stewart) Hatch. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-four years, George Brassart Dostal, Jr. Seven children were born of that union and are survivors: George Brassart Dostal, III, Shirley Marie Gass and husband Paul, Donna Rose Williams, Mary Jo Hooper, Kathleen Ann Hermann and husband Louis, Julie Christine Murphy, and Robert Frederick Dostal and wife Sheila. Shirley has sixteen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great-grandchildren. Shirley was a Lay Carmelite and a member of the Daughter of the American Revolution. She had been a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Ozark since October of 1976. A Rosary service will be 9:30 AM Tuesday in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Ozark. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 AM with Father Saviour Nundwe officiating. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery.
