Shirley Ann Bolin

Shirley Ann Bolin, age 89, of Nixa, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023. She was born December 6, 1934 in Nixa where she continued to live throughout her life. Shirley was the daughter of J.O. Granger and Hazel Cave. She graduated from Nixa High School in 1953, and on January 24, 1953 she and Silas Eugene "Gene" Bolin were united in marriage.

Shirley was always a hard worker. She was employed by the Nixa Schools as a cafeteria worker for several years. Her gardening and yard work in general was a passion of Shirley's. She also enjoyed crocheting.

Shirley's family was the most important part of her life. She loved each family member and looked forward to all gatherings.

Survivors include: Two children, Bill Bolin and Vonda Eckley and husband Roger, all of Nixa; grandchildren, Heather Liniger and Will, Andrea Riley and Travis, Cathy Bolin, Jamie Bolin and Tiny, Bear Bowling, Shannon Burns and Kiesha, Kaitlyn Kinney and Brodi, and Haley Eckley and Ethan; great-grandchildren, Koby Riley, Jarrod Liniger, Kenzie Riley, Lilly Liniger, Niko Colbert, Adliegh Bowling, Weston Kinney, Kendal Kinney and Reece Bowling; and a great-great-grandchild, Wrenleigh Liniger; sisters-in-law, Virginia Blevins, and Marcelle Inman; her fur baby, Ellie; a host of other family members and many friends.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Gene in 2010, a daughter, Sarah Bowling, and her parents.

A funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, December 21, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Visitation will be the evening before (Wednesday) from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Season's Hospice, especially Megan, for the loving care given to Shirley.
