Sherry Jo Meier

Sherry Jo Meier, age 55, of Highlandville passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 in her home. She was born July 31, 1960, in Galena, MO, to George and Louise (Little) Riott. Sherry was united in marriage to Steve Meier on August 18, 1978. She gave all the love and support she could to her family, especially her grandkids. Sherry was an avid sports fan all her life. She drove a school bus for Spokane for over 20 years, and played an important role in the lives of countless children. Sherry is survived by her husband; children, Jennifer Fergerson and husband Chad of Nixa, Shanelle Leigh and husband Gerald of Highlandville; grandchildren Jordan Leigh, Lauren Fergerson, Jace Leigh and Peyton Leigh, siblings, Debbie Foley of Galena, Keith Riott and wife Geraldine of Ozark, Vicky Braselton and husband Gene of Nixa and Rick Riott and wife Kathy of Galena. Sherry is preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held Monday November 23rd from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, MO. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 24th at 3:00 p.m. at Spokane High School.
