Sheila Renea Pennington, age 35, gracefully departed from this on February 28, 2024. Born on January 31, 1989, in Springfield, Missouri, she was the cherished daughter of Roger and Olethea Pennington.
In her memory, Sheila leaves behind a legacy of love and family bond. She is survived by her dear brothers, Ryan and Travis Pennington; her sister Jerris Cobel of Rogersville; and her beloved children who meant the world to her: sons Luis and Asher , along with her daughter Amaya and her oldest daughter Alexis Teel of Springfield. Additionally, she is remembered by her former husband and the father of her children, Adalberto Mecadogarcia.
Sheila had a "spit fire" personality with an infectious smile. She was very honest and open about her opinions and would gladly tell you what she thought. Sheila graduated from Logan Rogersville school district in 2007 and she had so many cherished friendships there. She was well loved in her graduating class. Sheila's spirit now rests peacefully as she reunites with her parents Roger and Olethea Pennington who went before her. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A devoted mother above all else, Sheila poured boundless love into raising her three children. She was a constant presence in their lives, ensuring they experienced joy at every turn. Together as a family, they explored local museums, parks, and educational venues - crafting precious memories along the way. As a dedicated homeschool educator, Sheila prioritized each child’s growth and learning journey with unwavering commitment - especially towards Amaya’s special needs.
As the youngest in her family, Sheila brought lightness and laughter wherever she went. Affectionately known as "Squeaky" by her father due to fond childhood memories, she added sparkle to every moment shared with loved ones. Her playful nature kept those around her on their toes and created enduring bonds within the family.
A heartfelt memorial service honoring Sheila's life will take place on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 2 PM at Adams Funeral Home in Ozark, Missouri under the guidance of Pastor Toby Sanders. Prior to the service from 1 PM to 2 PM there will be a visitation period. Following the service in loving remembrance will be a burial at Springhill Cemetery in Rogersville, Missouri.
May Sheila's memory continue to illuminate our hearts as we celebrate the precious moments we shared with an extraordinary soul.
