Sharon Kay Goodwin

Sharon Kay Goodwin, age 68, of Sparta, passed away Thursday March 27, 2014. She was born Feb. 20, 1946, the daughter of Leo and Bertie (Pruett) Nelson. Sharon married Paul Goodwin June 25, 1971. She enjoyed camping, four-wheeling, fishing with her husband, tending to her flowers and the visits with her family and friends. Sharon dedicated her life to The Lord when she was 22 years old. She attended Eastern Gate. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Bertie; brothers, Leo Jr. and JC; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Cheriot Goodwin; brothers- in- law, Bill Goodwin and Darrel Shortt; sisters-in-law, Pat Nelson, Betty Bartlett, Bonnita Nelson, and Shirley Goodwin; and nieces and nephews. Sharon is survived by her husband, Paul; children, Christopher and wife Damaris of Springfield and Curtis of Sparta; five grandchildren, Braxton Williams, Natalie Fleetwood, Korbyn Goodwin, Tyler and Sierra Ross; three sisters Laura Kathleen Short, Kathryn Caudill and Bobbie Mitchell and three brothers Jerry Nelson, Dewey Nelson and Jim Nelson. A graveside service will be at 1:30 P.M. Monday, March 31, 2014 in Harvill Cemetery, Oldfield with Pastor James Orick officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, March 30, 2014 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. .
