Sarah Alice (Moody) Pratt, age 87, formerly of Oldfield, passed away at 4:27 PM, January 21, 2011 in Snohomish, Washington, in the wonderful care of those at Merry Haven Care Center. She was born December 3, 1923, the daughter of Cyrus Alva and Ollie Belle (Coffer) Moody. On April 5, 1942 she and Paul Arnold Pratt of Rogersville were united in marriage. The couple lived in Christian County near her family until 1947. The young family moved to Washington State in the lower valley, where they lived and worked for several months before returning to Chadwick where they bought a home. In 1953 the family returned to Washington to live, work, attend schools, and worship in the Selah , East Selah and Yakima area for the next 43 years. They moved to Monroe in 1996 where Paul passed away on July 2, 1998. During the course of her life-time she was a member of the Church of Christ at Oldfield, Selah, Washington, Yakima, Washington, and Monroe, Washington Survivors include a sister, Alta Marie (Moody) Hammons, four children: Carolyn Caroline Aileen (Pratt) Mix and spouse Wm. F. Mix (2 grandsons, 3 daughters-in-law, 9 great-grand-children and 3 great-great-grandchildren), Lenora Avalane (Pratt) Champagne and spouse Harry L. Champagne (1 grandson and 4 great-grandchildren), Thelma Alice Pratt, Gregory Arnold Pratt and spouse Nadean (3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren), many nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 19 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. The time will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Old Boston Cemetery, Oldfield.
